#Showbiz: PM extends donation to Ali of XPDC

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim extended a donation to the singer of local rock group XPDC, Mohd Ali Ismail, who suffers from lung problems which prevents him from being able to work.

According to a Bernama report, the donation was handed out by his political secretary, Ahmad Farhan Fauzi, who visited the singer at his residence in Bandar Salak Tinggi, Selangor on Tuesday.

In a post on his Facebook account yesterday, Anwar said: "I pray that he is blessed with afiyah and is always given the strength to continue life with his beloved family, God-willing."

Anwar added that Mohd Ali's family now depends on the sale of muruku products that his wife produces, who can be contacted at 011-70700885.

It was previously reported that Mohd Ali, 56, had suffered a stroke two years ago.
