#SHOWBIZ: An ode to rising above melancholy

Singer Hannah Delisha's latest single, 'Akan Tiba', has a poignant origin that sees her channelling emotions close to her heart.

Earlier this year, the 27-year-old artiste, who is also an actress and host, experienced a miscarriage 13 weeks after discovering she was pregnant for the first time.

But the song, which means coming soon, is not an endorsement for the listener, or her, to wallow in sorrow.

"'Akan Tiba' is not just an ordinary song. This motivational track conveys an inspirational message of hope and having the strength to face challenges," said the pop singer, who married actor Imam Shah in 2021.

That year also saw Hannah release a single titled 'Terlalu Mudah'.

Three years later, the Singapore-born artiste, whose real name is Hannah Adlina Blackburne Birch, has chosen to return as a recording artiste with Faithful Music for the release of 'Akan Tiba'.

Composed by Faizal Tahir, Ja'a, Romeo and Eugene Lai, Hannah is happy to embark on a new journey.

"Through its passionate lyrics and melodic melodies, I hope 'Akan Tiba' will stimulate positive feelings and strengthen the determination of listeners not to give up amid life's trials.

"The motivational message in this song is relevant to the everyday situation of many people, who may be struggling through difficult times."

She added that hopefully, the new single will also awaken the fighting spirit in listeners to keep moving forward in achieving their dreams.

According to Hannah, 'Akan Tiba' is specially dedicated to her loyal fans, who have supported her since the beginning of her career.

"'Akan Tiba' also represents the spirit of not giving up and having the confidence to chart out a better time in each individual's life.

"It is hoped that this latest song will be well received by fans and provide a fresh touch to the Malaysian music landscape." Hannah was formerly part of the music duo, Delisha, before going solo in 2015 that then saw her release her debut single, 'Anugerah'.

The daughter of Singaporean 1980s singer Noor Ashikin Ahmad and an Englishman moved to Malaysia in 2017 and caught the attention of the public when she starred opposite Syafiq Kyle in the drama series 'Mencintaimu Mr Photographer'.

Since then, she has appeared in drama series and telemovies, including the popular Erma Fatimah-created TV3 series, 'Lelaki Itu', which aired in March.

'Akan Tiba' was officially launched on July 12 through a live broadcast session that was conducted by Hannah on her TikTok account.

The song is available for streaming on all digital music platforms, and the accompanying music video can be watched on Faithful Music's YouTube channel.
