KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Wany Hasrita says the frequent news about the marital problems of celebrity friends has made her think that one can never do anything but accept one's fate.
In a Harian Metro report yesterday, the 31-year-old artiste, who has been in a long-distance relationship with her husband Mohd Al-Adib Fahmi Harun for two years, said that as a normal human being, there's nothing one can do to avoid a partner from being unfaithful.
"I've always believed that, no matter how loving or perfect one can be in a relationship if the partner wants to stray, there's nothing you can do to prevent it.
"It can happen to anyone, whether men or women. It's all up to individuals. As adults, we should already know the consequences of such behavior, what is right and what is wrong," she said.
As a married woman, Wany admitted that whenever she reads about anyone facing such a problem in their marriage, she'd be stumped by such news.
"Although it can be painful, we must always remember that our partner doesn't really belong to us. People can change anytime.
"If it happens, we must all be brave to go through it all. But of course, we must always pray that we don't have to go through such an experience at all."
