#SHOWBIZ: Expiry of insurance forces Rita Rudaini to spend money for son's treatment [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Rita Rudaini Mokhtar, 48, recently forked out money for her son Airit Rayyan Rizqin's treatment at a private hospital.

The reason for this was his insurance policy had expired and he needed medical attention for an injury to his right arm.

In a Harian Metro report yesterday, Rita said that 15-year-old Rayyan had never utilised his insurance policy in the past, and it ended 13 years ago without them realising it.

"It came to an end because the 'payer' had stopped making payments," said Rita.

"I have plans to get a new insurance policy for my son, but the old account has to be closed first. Unfortunately, the 'payer' has refused to cooperate by giving his signature, despite the insurance company advising him to do so."

Rita also said that Rayyan's younger brother Airit Qaqa Arjuna, 13, had an insurance policy that was "up and running".

Rayyan injured his arm while playing football last week, and is recuperating in hospital following surgery.

Rayyan and Qaqa are the children of Rita and her former husband, footballer Aidil Zafuan Abdul Radzak who were married from 2008 to 2013.
