SINGERS Datuk Hattan and Datuk Jamal Abdillah are set to join forces for the Night of Love & Compassion charity event, organised by the Tengku Mahmud Ex-Student Association (TMESA).
The Dec 14 event at World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur aims to raise funds for underprivileged students.
Jamal, known as the king of pop, said: "I'm grateful I can use my talent for a good cause. Helping students stay in school is something I'm passionate about."
He said he hoped his performance would inspire the public to contribute to the effort.
Hattan said: "I've always supported events like this, especially when it comes to helping students.
"I, too, experienced difficult times in my youth, so this cause is close to my heart."
His dedication to giving back to the community through music has made him a familiar face at charity events.
The event is part of TMESA's efforts to raise RM1 million, which will fund the its Sponsor A Student programme.
This initiative has helped more than 1,000 students, offering them a chance to pursue their dreams of becoming doctors, lawyers, and teachers.
The event is set to be an inspiring evening of music and generosity.
