KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Diana Danielle recently clarified that she only has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and not bipolar disorder, contrary to claims circulating online.
Through an Instagram Story this morning, the 33-year-old addressed the misconceptions, emphasising that she does not experience manic episodes or other conditions such as personality or Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), as some have suggested.
"To clarify people's views on my mental health, I have ADHD. I'm not bipolar. I don't have manic episodes or DID. These labels are unfairly imposed to diminish my experiences and choices," she explained.
Diana revealed that she had ADHD two years ago, noting symptoms like memory issues and forgetfulness. Nevertheless, she remains committed to raising mental health awareness in the community.
Her husband, actor Farid Kamil, speaking from the set of Bayangan Dosa in Kuang, revealed there had been a minor household misunderstanding.
He attributed Diana's emotional response to her menstrual cycle.
On Monday, Diana announced her decision to divorce Farid via Instagram without disclosing details.
The couple had divorced once before, in August 2023, only to reconcile a month later.
Married since 2012, they have two children, Muhammad, 10, and Nur Aurora, 8.
