KUALA Lumpur tops the list of cities in the world that offer the lowest price for a stay at a five-star hotel.
A research done by luxuryhotel.com finds that the capital has five-star hotels offering from as low as RM400 per night, on average.
In general, the research shows that guests don't have to break the bank to live in the lap of luxury with the global average of RM1140 per night for a five-star experience.
Particularly if one chooses to stay in one of the 10 cities in the list that offers affordable luxury!
Second in the list is Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam with RM435 per night, followed by Thailand's Bangkok and Turkey's Antalya - both with RM452 per night.
The following three cities in the world that offer an average of RM494 per night at a five star accommodation are Mexico City in Mexico, Sapporo in Japan as well as Hanoi in Vietnam.
Meanwhile in Thailand, the cost of a stay in a five star hotel in Phuket is as low as RM502 per night and RM515 in Chiang Mai.
Also on the bottom list of the top 10 cities offering luxury stays is Mecca, Saudi Arabia with an average RM561 per night.
In Europe, the average price per night for a five-star hotel is £211 (RM1197) and with such low prices, these delightful destinations offer something for everyone, from sun and sand to winter city breaks, all whilst experiencing the luxury each city has to offer.
On the top list of Europe's cheapest five-star stay is Antalya, followed by Warsaw in Poland with an average price of £107 and Saint Petersburg in Russia (£116).
