TESLA Malaysia has announced that the Model 3 is now open for booking in both standard and long range trims.
The standard is rear-wheel drive (RWD) with a range (WLTP) of 513km on a single charge and a 0-100kph sprint in 6.1 seconds, while the long range comes in a dual motor all-wheel drive (AWD) setup with a range of up to 629km and quicker 4.4 seconds century acceleration.
Both have a top speed of 201kph and are priced from RM189,000 and RM218,000, respectively.
The electric vehicle (EV) can charge up to 282 km in 15 minutes by taking advantage of the V3 Supercharging station - so far eight of which are now operational locally at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
According to Tesla Malaysia, the arriving Model 3 comes with upgraded tires and wheels to aid in the increased range and noise reduction. It also has two new colour options of Stealth Grey and Ultra Red.
Its cabin features a 360-degree acoustic glass, and the likes of ambient lighting, ventilated seats, 15.4-inch centre touchscreen, an 8-inch second-row display for passengers, and an expansive glass roof.
Booking of the Model 3 can be made on www.tesla.com/en_my/model3. Surprisingly, unlike the previously announced Model Y which is slated to only be delivered in 2024 the Model 3 is estimated to be delivered sometime late this year.
