KUALA LUMPUR: Dagang Nexchange Bhd, the most actively-traded stock as at mid-afternoon today, saw its price up one sen, or 2.7 per cent.
As at 3.34pm, the stock stood at 38 sen with 134.5 million shares traded.
Meanwhile, Bursa Malaysia issued a unusual market activity query to the company due to the rise in price and volume.
Dagang Nexchange said it was not aware of any corporate development relating to its business that had not been previously announced to Bursa Malaysia.
"The company also confirms that, to the best of its knowledge and belief, it is in compliance with the Main Market Listing Requirements (LR) in particular Rule 9.03 of the LR on immediate disclosure obligations for any material information," it said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia here today.
In a separate statement to Bursa Malaysia, Dagang Nexchange announced that the trading of its shares has been halted with effect from 3.36pm today and will resume at 9am on Monday.-- Bernama
