KUALA LUMPUR: A Ferrari was completely destroyed when it suddenly caught fire during the peak hour traffic at Jalan Travers, here, today.
It is learnt that in the 6pm incident, the driver of the red Ferrari and a female companion escaped unhurt after they managed to get out of the burning car.
The Fire and Rescue Department said following a distress call at 6pm, a team of five firemen from Pantai station rushed to the scene but by then the back portion of the car was completely burnt.
"When we arrived, it was too late. The department’s forensic team was also notified, to help identify the cause of the fire," he said.
The fire had caused a 2km bumper to bumpet crawl from Jalan Bangsar towards Jalan Mahameru.
