TAPAH: An 18-year-old girl was killed in a freak accident involving two heavy vehicles at KM 70 of Jalan Ipoh - Kuala Lumpur near Bidor here during the wee hours today.
District police chief Superintendent Som Sak Din Keliaw said in the 2am incident, R. Rishanthini died on the spot while his brother, who drove the lorry, was unhurt.
"The lemon-laden lorry rammed a trailer lorry which was parked by the roadside.
"Rishanthini was pinned on her seat due to the impact.
"The trailer lorry driver also escaped unhurt," he said.
He said Rishanthini's body was sent to Tapah Hospital for post morterm.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
