Kool FM to play songs from the 80s and 90s

KUALA LUMPUR: Adding to its collections of successful radio stations, Media Prima Radio Networks (MPRN) has today unveiled its fourth station, Kool FM.

Launched by MPRN chief executive officer Seelan Paul, the channel will target those aged between 25 to 44-years-old.

"The radio will play songs from the 80s, 90s and also popular hits both locally and internationally with an added genre of dangdut to be added to its playlist.

"It is very exciting for us to be launching Kool FM as the older channels (Hot FM, Fly FM and One FM) focuses on Gen-Y, with this new station we're able to be more creative," he said.

Kool FM was launched at the Sime Darby Convention Centre here, with appearances from its radio announcers which included local artists AG, Haiza, Liza, Ikhwan, Farid and Ezaq.

Listeners can tune in to the station starting on March 3 through 101.3 FM in Klang Valley and 90.2 FM in Pulau Pinang.
