KUALA LUMPUR: The next-of-kin of those onboard Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 have been urged to submit their compensation claims by today.
Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said the authorities would continue to work closely with all parties on the issue of compensation.
"I have reminded them to file in their claims with the final date being today. We will continue to work closely with them on the compensation.
"I have directed Malaysia Airlines to take care of them and to also continue to complete the compensation process as fast as possible," said Liow when met in Parliament today.
Liow said the search for MH370 will continue until it covers the 120,000km sq km search area within the stipulated time, which would be in June this year.
"Malaysia is continuing our full commitment to search for MH370. I would like to emphasise that over the past two years, we have never given up. We are committed and have put in a lot of resources, time and effort in our search," he said.
Flight MH370 disappeared without a trace on March 8, 2014 with 239 passengers and crew members onboard.
