MALACCA: Melaka United defender Muhammad Afiq Azuan, 21, who was struck by lightning on Tuesday, was discharged from the Malacca Hospital here today.
The hospital's spokesperson said Afiq was discharged from the hospital at 1.15pm.
"As for the goalkeeper's (Marco Stefen Petrovski) condition, he is still in a stable condition but sedated on the ventilator in the intensive care unit.
"We will continue to monitor him closely," she said, declining to divulge further details of the patient's condition.
Petrovski and Afiq were rushed to the hospital after being struck by lightning when they were training at Padang Sepuluh in Krubong here at about 5pm on Tuesday.
The team was training for the under 21-President Cup 2016 against the Perak FA team tomorrow.
