CYBERJAYA: Aries Telecoms (M) Bhd today launched Aries Infinity, the region's fastest IPv6 broadband technology that provides Internet speed of up to one gigabit per second (Gbps).
Malaysia is now amongst the few countries in the world and the first in the region to be 'wired' with such technology.
The launch of the IPv6 was officiated by Communications and Multimedia minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak.
Aries Telecoms chairman Datuk Zuraidi Rahim said the launch of the new technology was made possible with the collaboration between the company and Setia Haruman Technology Sdn Bhd through its widest coverage of fibre optic infrastructure in Cyberjaya that has been laid off.
"The fibre optics covers almost all buildings in Cyberjaya, thus making the 1Gbps Infinity Broadband readily available for business users and enable more smart city solution, Internet of Things, Big Data Analytics and ICT services to be deployed in Cyberjaya," Zuraidi said.
