Bomb threat sparks aircraft passengers' evacuation in Subang airport

SUBANG: More than 30 people were evacuated from a commercial aircraft at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang today following a bomb threat.

Civil Aviation Department (DCA) director-general Datuk Seri Azharuddin Abdul Rahman, when contacted, confirmed the matter.

Azharuddin, who is currently abroad, however declined to comment further.

A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman confirmed receiving the bomb threat.

"The plane has been isolated on the tarmac and our team at the airport is monitoring the situation," he said.

It was learnt that at least 30 passengers were evacuated from the plane.

Checks on the scene showed police and firemen inspecting the aircraft.
