STUDENTS can now revise their subjects while preparing for their Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR), Pentaksiran Tingkatan Tiga (PT3) and Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), thanks to the FullAMark education portal and mobile application.
The application initiated and created by the New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) Bhd (NSTP) was launched by Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid at SK Bukit Jelutong here yesterday.
Present were NSTP independent and non-executive director Datuk Seri Subahan Kamal, NSTP chief executive officer Datuk Mohammad Azlan Abdullah, Education Ministry deputy director-general (Education Policy and Development) Datuk Seri Khairil Awang and Selangor Education Department director Mohd Salleh Mohd Kassim.
“With today’s technology, we are heading towards the formation of a society that is receptive to news. We disseminate information so fast that sometimes without even checking.
“Therefore, it is our, as well as the parents’, responsibility to ensure that technology is used wisely,” said Mahdzir.
“I would like to congratulate Media Prima and NSTP on their efforts and dedication to assist the government and ministries to improve the quality of education in the country.”
The mobile application is specially designed to help students revise subjects through intensive and practical exercises using a different set of questions every week.
FullAMark’s content covers core subjects, such as Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics and Science for UPSR and PT3 candidates, while for SPM, it covers subjects involving Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics and History.
Mohammad Azlan said the training exercises in the application were based on the syllabus and latest assessment set by the Examination Board.
“Among the highlights, in the application that students will be exposed to questions which test their thinking skills. There are also UPSR, PT3 and SPM forecast questions.
“The FullAMark application also provides a platform for teachers to interact directly with their students, who face difficulty in answering questions or problems,” he said.
Students can subscribe four core subjects, through promotional package either for three, six or 12 months.
For UPSR promotional package, subscribers only pay RM30 for three months, RM50 for six months or RM100 for one year.
For PT3, subscription is RM50 for three months, RM90 for six months and RM170 for one year.
For SPM, subscribers only need to pay RM70 for three months, RM130 for six months or RM250 for 12 months.
The application is free and can be downloaded via smartphones or tablets.
