KUALA LUMPUR: Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was today admitted to the National Heart Institute (IJN) to receive treatment for a chest infection.
The hospital, in a statement today, said that Dr Mahathir, 91, was being kept under observation for the next few days in the general ward upon the advice of its medical team.
It said that visitation is limited to Dr Mahathir's close family members only.
