RIO DE JANEIRO: National sailor Khairulnizam Mohd Affendy remained the second best Asian after Singapore’s Colin Cheng following the four races in Laser Standard at the Rio Olympic Games here Tuesday.
Khairulnizam finished the third race 40th while Cheng was 13th.
In the fourth race, the Malaysian improved his ranking to 33th while the Singaporean was 18th among 45 sailors.
Meanwhile, Malaysia’s first woman sailor in the Olympics, Nur Shazrin Mohamad Latif, ranked 34th among 36 competitors in race three and improved to 30th position in race four in the Laser Radial event.
There are a total of 10 races in the competition. -- Bernama
