KUALA LUMPUR: Singer-songwriter Yunalis Zara'ai is flying the Malaysian flag high in the United States, with her image emblazoned on the NASDAQ Billboard at the NASDAQ tower in the middle of New York's Times Square.
The 30-year-old songstress revealed the exciting news through Twitter earlier today when she tweeted: "Your Kedah-born girl just went up on the @NASDAQ billboard in Times Square New York today."
The singer couldn't contain her excitement on the news when she met the media today at the launch event of YunaForLosravelda at Glasshouse Seputeh here.
Yuna collaborated with LosraVelda, a local fashion brand to design a collection of colourful, pastel scarves.
“Alhamdullilah, I believe this is my rezeki after the release of my album Chapters last May. I've been working hard in the US for five years now and so to see my face up on the NASDAQ billboard makes it all worthwhile," she added.
NASDAQ is an American stock exchange company.
"Every month, the billboard will feature artistes to promote their music, so this month it's my turn," she added.
Their large electronic billboard has also previously featured artistes such as American duo, The Chainsmokers.
