KUALA LUMPUR: Top K-Pop boyband GOT7 pulled in more than 3,000 global fans to its concert this evening at the Mega Star Arena here.
According to the organisers, fans from Vietnam, Philippines, China and Japan flew in just for GOT7.
The concert, GOT7 Flight Log: Turbulence in Malaysia, was presented by Three Angles Group and IME Singapore, and supported by IME Malaysia.
The 90-minute show which began at 6pm saw the Got7 boys – JB, BamBam, Jin-young, Mark, Jackson, Young-jae and Yu-gyeom – performing nine of their songs including ‘If You Do’, ‘A’, ‘Fly’ and ‘Hard Carry’. They even played some games on stage, much to the thrill of their fans.
“We filmed our music video for ‘A’ in Malaysia back in 2014,” BamBam said to the screaming crowd.
“We have so many fond memories of this place. That’s why Malaysia will always have a special place in our hearts.”
After the concert, some extremely lucky fans won the chance to take a photo with the group.
GOT7 made their debut in 2014 under JYP Entertainment and the band currently has two albums and five EPs under their belt.
The group bagged the Worldwide Favourite Artiste award at the recent Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) 2016 and the boys were also awarded Best Worldwide Act at the MTV European Music Awards 2016.
GOT7 Flight Log: Turbulence in Malaysia marks GOT7’s third visit to Malaysia and second show, following its fan meet concert in March last year.
