PUTRAJAYA: Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has arrived at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters here.
The former prime minister and Pagoh member of parliament waved his hands towards his supporters as he made his way into the MACC headquarters at about 11.15am.
Muhyiddin confirmed in a Facebook post yesterday that he had been summoned to the MACC headquarters today.
Although he did not specify why he was called, it is learnt that it is related to the Jana Wibawa scandal.
MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki had previously said the probe by the graft busters against Muhyiddin was on-going.
The Jana Wibawa scheme was introduced by the government under Muhyiddin's administration to speed up project implementation and boost the country's economy during and after the Covid-19 pandemic.
The scheme was also intended to increase the capacity of Bumiputera/Malay contractors in the construction industry to be more competitive and resilient.
