Indonesian woman, two others detained for trespassing on durian farm in Raub

RAUB: Three people including an Indonesian woman were detained for trespassing into a durian plantation owned by Pahang Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPP) at Kampung Tras here yesterday.

District police chief Superintendent Mohd Shahril Abdul Rahman said an assistant manager attached to PKPP at Pamah Lebar had lodged a report at 2.30pm.

"The complainant claimed that members of the public had entered the plantation to collect durian fruits.

"A police team led by the Tranum police station chief along with General Operations Force members were deployed to track down and locate the suspects in the plantation.

"The team nabbed two men and an Indonesian woman, aged between 40 and, inside the plantation and they were taken to Raub police headquarters.

"They are investigated under Section 447 of the Penal Code for criminal trespass," he said in a statement today.

Shahril reminded the public not to speculate on the matter as it will affect police investigations and urged all quarters to respect the law.
