Nge Yan Soon, 55, and Low Boon Hui, 38, pleaded guilty after they were charged under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons or means.
Magistrate Suhaila Shafi'uddin fined the two RM5,000, or three months jail in default.
Low was accused of injuring a 53-year-old male cook using a plastic chair at a coffee shop in Taman Kristal 2, Parit Raja, at 9.40 am on Nov 11 while Nge was charged with injuring the same individual using a key.
