KUALA LUMPUR: Three people from the same household are allowed to travel in one car, including for ride-hailing services, effective today.
The new regulation was announced by Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob in his daily press conference, today.
"The special meeting today heard opinions over the number of individuals allowed to be in a vehicle.
"After discussions, it was determined that three people from the same house will be allowed to be in a vehicle.
"It will also facilitate enforcement by the police, and the order will be allowed for taxis and e-hailing vehicles," he added.
