KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has a dream and TN50 is the dream.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib said this after receiving the National Transformation 2050 TN50 Youth Canvas here today.
"We have a dream..we Malaysia have a dream and TN50 is our dream," he said.
Najib said he had came up with the word canvas to enable youth to chart the future for Malaysia's future.
He adds that Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin had done a good job by among others attending 135 dialogues.
Najib himself said he had attended 11 key dialogues while meeting young Malaysians, women, entrepreneurs and civil servants among others.
Najib said this after receiving the National Transformation 2050 (TN50) Youth Canvas from Khairy.
Meanwhile, Khairy said the National Transformation 2050 (TN50) Youth Canvas will be the "foundation-document" that would be used to chart the country's policies and priorities, from this year on.
He said that canvas was also a document that would be updated every year so that it remains relevant with times and serves its purpose.
Khairy shared six themes identified in the document which covered youth aspirations dealing with issues relating to the globe, equitability, sustainability, unity responsibility and attentiveness.
The ministry also called Malaysians to check out the canvas at mytn50.com/kanvasbelia.
Close to 2 million Malaysians were engaged to prepare the National Transformation 2050 (TN50) Youth Canvas.
They were engaged in more than 130 dialogues in among others, states and districts levels.
These dialogues that were also attended by more than 100,000 youth and managed to compile more than 60,000 unique aspirations.
The aspirations were detailed, analysed and debated by the Kumpulan Masa Depan TN50 which involves the TN50 youth ambassadors as well as experts on a various subject.
The TN50 Youth Canvas came about to gather the last stage of feedback on the Initiative so that it could be given to Najib as such.
It serves as vital input for the government's TN50 policy formulation work.
