BANGI: Aman Palestine is targeting to raise RM20 million in Ramadan to set up Sheikh Ijlin Mosque and specialist hospitals and to provide assistance to poor families in Gaza.
Aman Palestin chief executive officer Awang Suffian Awang Piut launched a three-month Ummah Emergency campaign to raise funds.
“We hope to raise RM20 million within one month during Ramadan. The mosque will be built as soon as possible while we hope to built the specialist hospital within three years," he said at a press conference held at the Aman Palestin headquarters , here, today.
He said Aman Palestine planned to go to Syria and Lebanon for a relief mission at the beginning of Ramadan and also send RM400,000 in aid to Palestinian and Syrian refugee camps in Lebanon.
"In addition, a sum of RM300,000 will be allocated to Syrian and Palestinian victims through Aman Palestin's office there," he said.
He also called on all Malaysians to come together in championing the rights of Palestinians and Syrians.
