PUTRAJAYA: The Prime Minister’s wife Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali was awarded the Tokoh Srikandi Negara at the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) general assembly here today.
Srikandi chief Datuk Seri Rina Mohd Harun handed the award to Dr Siti Hasmah’s son, Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir.
She is the first recipient to receive the award for her contribution to the success of party chairman and Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
The delegates were also treated to a special video clip of Dr Mahathir and Dr Siti Hasmah tracing their life as youngsters until today.
