LONG journeys, especially on express buses can take a toll on passengers, and their bowels, as this story proves.
This story may stink, literally, but it needs to be told.
Bus driver Mohd Huzaidi Husain, 30, shared how he had to clean up one of the seats on his bus early this morning after a male passenger defecated in it.
He suspects that the "deposit" was made when he was sleeping and the bus, on its way from Terengganu to Seremban, Negri Sembilan, was being driven by his co-driver Wan Mohd Zamri Wan Mat, 47.
"When we arrived at the Seremban Bus Terminal at about 6.30am, I was awoken from my sleep by a very bad smell. I checked the bus and found human feces on one of the seats.
"There were also feces on the window and curtain," he said when contacted.
He said he could not believe that the male passenger assigned to that seat, possibly in his 30s, was capable of such an act.
"By right, he should have informed us to stop at a nearby mosque or petrol station, not take matters into his own hands which would only make things difficult for the management and other passengers.
"This is the second such incident since I've been driving express buses for three years, but this is the worst," he said.
Following what happened, Mohd Huzaidi said he and his friend had to clean the area and spray perfume to get rid of the stench.
