PSV test questions mostly based on logic, says Loke

KUALA LUMPUR: Most questions for the public service vehicles (PSV) test are based on logic, said Transport Minister Anthony Loke.

Loke said he scored 82 per cent mark (49 correct out of 60 questions) even without attending the PSV course.

He was responding to a question whether it is possible to retake the PSV exam if one fails.

“There is no problem for the drivers to retake the exam. They have attended the course and should be able to retake the test.

“Maybe they were not familiar with the questions when they take the test for the first time.

“Yesterday, I took the test myself and found that most of the 49 questions I got right are based on logic while the other 11 questions were wrong because I did not attend the PSV training,” he told the press at the Parliament lobby here, today.

Loke believed that drivers are able to score better if they attended the PSV training.

On May 14, Grab Drivers Malaysia Association (GDMA) claimed that the failure rate for the PSV license test was too high and had forced the drivers to spend money to take it again.

GDMA president Arif Asyraf Ali said only between 10 and 50 per cent drivers had passed the test, with only seven out of 40 drivers passed the test in Penang.
