KUALA LUMPUR: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and the Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah have expressed their condolences to the family of Tengku Panglima Perang of Pahang, Tengku Abdul Aziz Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Abu Bakar, who passed away this morning.
“Their Majesties express sympathy and sadness over Tengku Abdul Aziz’s passing and hope that the family remains strong in facing this difficult situation,” Comptroller of the Royal Household for Istana Negara, Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin, said in a statement today.
“Their Majesties also pray that the late Tengku Abdul Aziz’s soul will be blessed by Allah Almighty and placed among the righteous,” he added.
According to a post on the House of Pahang’s Instagram account, Tengku Abdul Aziz passed away at 6am this morning at his residence at Jalan Madge, here.
He will be laid to rest after the Asar prayer at the Jalan Ampang Muslim Cemetery. – Bernama
