PETALING JAYA: PLUS Malaysia Bhd (PLUS) is ending the year on a high note by winning YouTube Malaysia’s best advertisement award in the best ad auto & travel category for its’ “Tumpang” short video.
The video, produced in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri, tells the story of a young man who travels home for Raya in a lorry because he had missed his bus.
PLUS managing director Datuk Azman Ismail said the video signified PLUS’s endeavour to provide meaningful journeys for its customers.
“Through this video, we convey our sincerity in taking good care of all our highway customers, at every step of their journey,” he said.
“Tumpang” garnered more than 8.3 million views on YouTube and other social media platforms.
“This is PLUS’s first-ever win at the YouTube Malaysia Festival.
“All submissions of the same category are of great quality and we are thankful that the judges selected PLUS as the best for 2019 despite it being our maiden submission,” Datuk Azman added.
The YouTube award closes a year of recognition for PLUS.
The company also received the Prince Michael International Road Safety Award in London, Ministry of Works, Malaysia’s My Green Highway Index (MyGHI) Award, Malaysia Public Relations Awards (MPRA), MARIM Risk Management Team of The Year Award 2019, Asia-Pacific StrategicRisk Award 2019, ICQCC 2019 (International Convention on Quality Control Circles) in Japan, Putra Brand Awards 2019 — People’s Choice Award for Transportation, Travel & Tourism Category (Bronze), SEDA One Diamond Green Initiative Award 2019, APIC 2019 (Annual Productivity & Innovation Conference) and regional MOB-EX Awards 2019 in Singapore.
