KUALA LUMPUR: Face mask stock at outlets nationwide will be replenished soon.
Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba said there has been a shortage of face masks in recent days following the Covid-19 outbreak.
"The public has raised concerns over the unavailability of face masks (at pharmacies, malls and shops).
"We will ensure there is enough supply for the people soon.
"We must also use the mask correctly with the coloured side facing outside," he told reporters after a visit to Hospital Sungai Buloh today.
The function of the blue/green layer is to prevent germs from sticking to it.
He noted that face masks like the N95 have better features than regular masks that will help contain virus particles from people with symptoms.
