KUALA LUMPUR: Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah today shared the Malaysian-developed MySejahtera application which will be used by the government in managing the Covid-19 outbreak nationwide.
Sharing the availability of the app via a Facebook posting, he said the application was developed through a strategic cooperation between the National Security Council (NSC), the Health Ministry (MoH), the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
Dr Noor Hisham said the app allows users to perform health self-assessment on themselves and their families; monitor health progress and enables the MOH to monitor users' health condition and take immediate action in providing required treatment to those in need.
Developed under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342), the app provides vital information for users as a source of information throughout the Covid-19 outbreak such as how and where to seek treatment if one is infected with Covid-19 and locations of nearest hospitals and clinics for screening and treatment.
MySejahtera is available in the Galeri Aplikasi Mudah Alih Kerajaan Malaysia (GAMMA), Apple App Store, Google Play Store and the Huawei AppGallery.
