Tabung Haji branches to reopen in stages nationwide starting May 4

KUALA LUMPUR: Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) branch offices will open in stages starting Monday (May 4).

In a statement, TH said the operation hours for its branch offices will be from 10am to 3pm during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), with limited services being offered, ranging from account opening, account deposit and withdrawal services, to account updating and haj registration.

"Haj related affairs such as offers to perform haj and passport submission, however, are being postponed until TH receives the official decision on the status of haj for the 1441H/2020 season from the Saudi government," it said.

TH added it will only allow limited numbers of people within its branch offices at any one time to ensure effective social distancing.

Customers visiting TH branch offices should wear face masks and practice social distancing on the premises, it said.

"For health and safety aspects, TH will conduct body temperature screening and provide hand sanitisers on site.

"TH depositors are encouraged to use online banking services at www.thijari.com.my or any internet banking service offered by TH strategic banking partners."

TH said the reopening of its branch offices is in line with the government's objective to stimulate the country's economy, which has been badly affected by the Movement Control Order (MCO) aimed at curbing the spread of Covid-19.
