PUTRAJAYA: The Health Ministry today announced a new Covid-19 cluster at Taman BDC Kuching involving 37 positive cases.
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the index case for the new cluster is linked to the Sri Petaling tabligh gathering.
"The new cluster involves 37 cases, with the index case being from the gathering in Sri Petaling," he said, adding that the infection has spread to three generations involving family members, mosque-goers and co-workers.
Other active Covid-19 clusters which recorded new cases today include Chow Kit market (16), Sendayan (5), Pesantren (3), Kampung Baru (2) and Madrasah Ayer Merbau (1).
