KUALA LUMPUR: Kota Damansara state assemblyman Shatiri Mansor, is the latest politician on the list to have tested positive for Covid-19.
Shatiri revealed that he, along with his wife and two children were positive, through a video posting that was uploaded on Shatiri FanClub - Kota Damansara Facebook page tonight.
In the 3-minute long video, Shatiri said he and seven other people from the Kota Damansara service centre had returned from Sabah on Sept 27, and had undergone Covid-19 screening at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2).
The were issued Home Surveillance Orders and were told to self-quarantine for 14 days.
"On Sept 30, my wife received a call from the Petaling District Health Office, and was informed that she had tested positive before she was brought to Sungai Buloh Hospital to receive treatment.
"Because we were close contacts, we were told by the district health office on Oct 2 to get retested.
"Today, I received a call informing me that my two children and I tested positive for Covid-19," he explained.
Shatiri said he and his two children would be treated at Sungai Buloh Hospital.
Three others from his group tested negative and were observing home quarantine until Oct 16, he added.
"The Kota Damansara service centre is operating as usual."
