KUALA LUMPUR: Weddings and wedding engagement ceremonies as well as kenduri (feasts) are not allowed during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), which come into force at all states in the peninsula except for Perlis, Kelantan and Pahang starting tomorrow.
Other public gatherings activities not allowed to be held in the next four weeks during the CMCO include aqiqah, doa selamat and tahlil events as well as anniversary and birthday celebrations, reunions and retreats.
The above were among some activities listed in the no-no list under updated version of the standard operating procedures (SOP) for the CMCO in Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Selangor, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Negri Sembilan, Melaka, Johor and Terengganu.
The updated version of the SOP on the implementation of the CMCO at the affected states in the peninsula was published today on the National Security Council's official social media accounts (Twitter: https://twitter.com/MKNJPM/status/1325287874191716354)
Other public gathering events that fall under the no-no list included official and non-official government and private events.
"(Also not allowed are) participation from governments officers and those from the private sectors in official and non-official events from areas placed under the CMCO and Enhanced MCO (EMCO) to other areas," read the SOP.
Entertainment activities such as night clubs and pubs; theme parks, indoor playgrounds, cinemas as well as concerts and live events which involved attendance of the public are also a no-go during the CMCO.
Also not allowed during the CMCO period are seminars, workshops, conferences and exhibitions.
"Exception is for in-service training provided that it is being conducted only within the area of the training institutions," the SOP said.
Meetings organised by the public and private sector which involved the attendance of 'wakil agensi luar' (foreign agency representatives) are encouraged to be conducted via video conferencing.
"Exception for the meeting to be conducted physically are only allowed for those involving expatriate and C Suite provided strict compliance to the physical distancing and face-mask wearing SOP.
"Internal meetings are allowed according to the circular and instruction issued by the Public Services Department and guidelines issued by the International Trade and Industry Ministry."
