KUALA LUMPUR: The Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) has urged members of the public, especially those who did not receive the first round of Bantuan Prihatin Nasional (BPN), to apply for BPN 2.0 cash assistance as soon as possible.
Its communication department said those eligible to apply for the second round of cash aid could do so immediately, before the last day of application submission on Nov 15.
"The application can be made online at https://bpn.hasil.gov.my/ or they can submit a manual form to their nearest LHDN office.
"As announced previously, BPN 2.0 is part of the government's initiative under the Prihatin Supplementary Initiative Package (Kita Prihatin) to help people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
"For new applications which have just been approved, the cash aid will be credited into the recipients' accounts on Jan 2021.
"Members of the public can access BPN's portal at https://bpn.hasil.gov.my/ to download the application terms and frequently asked questions (FAQ) regarding this assistance."
The public can direct their inquiries or feedback regarding the cash assistance to LHDN through its Hasil Care Line at 03-8911 1000 or 603-8911 1100 (for overseas); HASiL Live Chat; or submit feedback forms made available at LHDM's official website at https://maklumbalaspelanggan.hasil.gov.my/MaklumBalas/ms-my/.
