KUALA LUMPUR: Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) today confirmed that one of their staff tested positive for Covid-19 at TMpoint Kajang on Dec 13.
The staff is now undergoing treatment at a government hospital.
TM in a statement today said they had taken swift action by closing down TMpoint Kajang until Dec 27 for thorough sanitisation and disinfection in accordance to the guidelines set by the Health Ministry.
"Meanwhile, other TMpoint branches are operating as usual following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other additional safety guidelines.
"All of us at TM are praying for the speedy recovery of those affected by the pandemic," it said.
The Health Ministry along with the TM Crisis Response Team are working on contact tracing to identify and inform close contacts of the staff.
TM reminds everyone to keep safe physical distancing, hygiene and adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the government at all times.
"We will continue to take the necessary measures to ensure the health and safety of our customers, staff and community," it said.
