Tabung Haji introduces deposit-taking service via JomPAY

KUALA LUMPUR: Tabung Haji (TH) has introduced a deposit-taking service via JomPAY as part of its digital initiatives to provide more touch-points for the convenience of depositors.

TH operations executive director Mustakim Mohamad said as an addition to the hajj pilgrims fund board's existing digital services, JomPay would make it easier for depositors to transfer funds online into a TH savings account anytime and anywhere.

"TH always strives to provide value-added digital services to its depositors and today is another successful milestone where depositors can transfer funds online easily using JomPAY.

"With JomPAY, depositors can transfer funds from their bank savings or current accounts to a TH savings account through their existing internet banking platform.

"What's more, depositors do not have to do any registration to use this facility and it is absolutely free of any charges," he said in a statement today.

JomPAY, an online fund transfer service, is supported by 28 banks in Malaysia through internet banking platforms.

Currently almost 80 per cent of transactions at TH are carried out using online channels and this additional service will further bring convenience to depositors to transact with TH.

The JomPAY Biller Code for Tabung Haji Deposit is 60228 and a 15-digit TH savings account number is required to be entered as Ref-1.
