KUALA LUMPUR: The Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) at Kampung Juara, Pulau Tioman in Rompin, Pahang has been extended by another two weeks.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the Health Ministry found that the virus transmission is still present at the locality with six new cases reported yesterday.
As of today, 513 screenings were carried out with 53 confirmed Covid-19 cases detected.
"The EMCO was scheduled to end tomorrow. However, upon risk analysis by agencies under the technical committee, the government has agreed to extend EMCO there from April 7 to 20," he said in a statement today.
