ISKANDAR PUTERI: EduCity Iskandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd (EIMSB) has lined up a series of education events this year.
Its managing director, Wan Ahmad Saifuddin Wan Ahmad Radzi, said these events would position EduCity as a thought leader for the future of education.
"These events will also prepare EduCity and its partners to be the frontrunner in promoting the education revolution and to increase its visibility among targeted stakeholders, students, enterprises and universities" said Wan Ahmad Saifuddin.
EduCity organised an international webinar, EduCity Leadership Summit (EdLeadS) themed Leadership, Exploration and Development (L.E.A.D), from January to February.
EduCity Iskandar is now organising a multi-stakeholder lab on navigating the new norm.
Many organisations in Malaysia and elsewhere have been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and education institutions have not been spared.
The lab will provide a platform for EduCity partners to escalate and share issues and concerns with government regulators and agencies to enable all parties to find solutions that are win-win for all.
"Towards the end of 2021, we will organise an event titled Future Funding, the gathering and point of reference on Malaysia's future funding focusing on tertiary education.
"This will be followed by EduCity's 4th Educators Conference, themed 'The Development and Application of Digital Classroom in Education'.
"The conference targets educators in institutes of higher education and stakeholders in the education industries.
It is organised in collaboration with the Higher Education Ministry and Khazanah Research Institute. This year, the event will also feature our technology partner, Lenovo," said Wan Ahmad Saifuddin.
By 2022, EduCity will organise another international event called the Future of Education Summit.
This event will gather global education leaders and future thinkers to discuss the initiatives under the Deglobalisation of Education theme.
"It will create a platform for networking and future partnership and position EduCity as the future education conference destination."
He said at the summit, EduCity would announce the establishment of the first global Education Hub Association.
He said EduCity would announce the dates of the events on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.
