KUALA LUMPUR: Newly-minted Senior Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein has pledged to shoulder the responsibility to the best of his ability.
The Sembrong member of Parliament, in a Tweet today, conveyed his appreciation to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob for entrusting him to spearhead the Defence Ministry again.
"I am always proud and honoured to serve our armed forces who have greatly contributed to our country.
"InsyaAllah, I will do my utmost best," he wrote.
Hishammuddin previously served as the Defence Minister under the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration between 2013 to 2018.
