MySejahtera fixes error affecting random users placed under HSO

KUALA LUMPUR: Did you wake up this fine Sunday morning only to find you have been placed under a 10-day home surveillance order (HSO) by the MySejahtera application?

While it is unclear what caused this, it appears that the problem started early this morning where random users found their 'Low Risk, No Symptoms' status change to 'Home Surveillance Order' or 'Person Under Surveillance' (PUS).

Some said this happened despite answering 'no' to all the questions in the 'Covid-19 status' section.

Following a barrage of complaints directed at them this morning, MySejahtera issued an apology via Twitter.

"Good morning everyone - we apologise for the error on our part which allowed random users to be given HSOs/PUS status.

"We have fixed the root cause which allowed this to happen. All incorrect HSOs have been deleted, and incorrect PUS status reverted," MySejahtera said.

There was no elaboration on what caused the glitch.
