Lawyer heads OCA Clifford Kuala Kangsar

KUALA LUMPUR: Prominent lawyer, Datuk Sallehuddin Saidin, has been appointed president of Persatuan Lepasan Sekolah Clifford Kuala Kangsar (OCA Clifford) for 2022/2024 session.

The former Selangor government's law advisor replaced Tan Sri Mustafa Mansur.

The appointment comes after a general meeting held last night, which had to be postponed following major flooding in the Klang Valley end of last year.

During the meeting, New Straits Times Press' marketing, corporate communication and sales support general manager Datuk Ahmad Zaini Kamaruzzaman was picked as deputy president.

The three vice presidents were Abdul Rahim Mohd Meerah, Ikmal Hisham Mohd Hashim and Syed Roslan Syed Zakaria.

The committee members were Chong Ka Foo, Iskandar Dzulkurnain Abdullah Azizi, Syed Ahmad Azimin Syed Jamaluddin, Mohd Rafie Mustafa, Saparudin Shaari, VM Thiagarajan.

Also included were Zulkharnain A Rahim, Mohd Noor Affendi Mohammad Khairani, R Subramaniam, Jamil Khir Ahmad Rashidi, Japlus Mohd Ali, Salihuddin Ismail and R Balu.

Mutalib Awang and Al Sabri Ahmad were both appointed auditors.

Sallehuddin, who used to work in the Attorney-General's Office, said he plans to attract more formers students to join the alumni and work on programmes that will benefit the school and its students.

"We will also enhance the relationship among ex-students and assist in the welfare and wellbeing of current students be it in the form of cash aid or scholarship.

"We also aim to help students in terms of employment by connecting them with our industry network." he said.
