4,446 permanent positions for doctors, dental officers, pharmacists

KUALA LUMPUR: The Public Services Commission has offered 4,446 permanent positions for doctors (3,586), dental officers (460) and pharmacists (400) in the public healthcare system.

Sharing the advertisement, Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, in a tweet today, also assured that the government would continue to create more permanent posts for healthcare workers.

On Feb 10, Khairy announced that the Cabinet had agreed to create 8,688 additional permanent positions for medical, dental and pharmaceutical officers from 2022 to 2025.

The government, he said, also agreed to offer at least 1,500 permanent posts of medical officers, dental officers and pharmacists in the public healthcare sector from 2023 to 2025.

Starting 2023, Khairy said the ministry would create 800 permanent positions for physicians and 70 placements for dentists.

The deadline for applications is March 15.
