KUALA LUMPUR: Covid-19 booster dose appointments can now be made via the Booking Management System on MySejahtera application starting March 21.
In a statement today, ProtectHealth Corporate Sdn Bhd said the public would now be able to choose their preferred vaccination centres (PPV) as well as date and time for their vaccine boosters.
Its chief executive officer Datuk Dr Anas Alam Faizli expressed hope that the update would make it easier for the people to select their preferred time and location to receive their booster jabs.
"To ensure that the transition to the endemic phase commencing April 1 can be implemented safely, the focus is to foster community awareness and individual responsibility for compliance with standard operating procedures and expand access to existing vaccination programme, especially for senior citizens.
"Senior citizens who had yet to be vaccinated or receive their boosters, especially those with comorbidities have a higher risk of death if they contracted Covid-19. As Ramadan is approaching, I advise everyone to get their boosters as quickly as possible," he said.
As of March 16, 15.3 million doses of boosters have been administered.
Meanwhile, MySejahtera in a tweet announced that the link to book vaccination appointment which was previously only for children is now open to all.
"Make sure your MySejahtera account has been verified to receive this link. Links will be provided in stages to MySejahtera users.
"Vaccinations are also available via walk-in appointments. Visit ProtectHealth website at vaksincovid.protecthealth.com.my for the PPV list that offer walk-in vaccinations."
The following are the steps to be taken to book for vaccination appointment on MySejahtera:
1. Go to the MySejatera app home screen and tap on Covid-19 vaccination.
2. Select the link "Click here to book your appointment".
3. Choose PPV name and address.
4. Select an available vaccination slot. Click "See More" for the appointment slots.
5. Before clicking "Confirm", ensure that the details are correct (i.e. type of vaccine, place of vaccination, date and time)
6. A confirmed vaccination slot will be reflected accordingly.
7. Obtain your booster dose at the selected PPV bases on the location and appointment slot selected.
