KUALA LUMPUR: Sentul was rocked by a huge explosion as a fireworks disposal site went up in flames today.
Sentul police chief Assistant Commissioner Beh Eng Lai when contacted confirmed the 6.30pm incident, adding that the rescue operation is currently underway.
It is still unknown whether there were any casualties in the incident.
Photos and videos of the explosions have since been circulating on the social media.
One Twitter user, @xnxthxrmxthxr95, tweeted: "A line of cars in Sentul are currently on fire due to fireworks explosion. The explosion was so loud The Fennel was literally shaking!"
Another Twitter user, @f15teen15 tweeted: "Some ****** stored fireworks there in Sentul and the whole thing just exploded. Like a bomb."
