IPOH: A chief flight instructor Muhammad Din Fikri Zainal Abidin who was in a light aircraft crash yesterday is reported to be in stable condition.
Perak police chief Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said the 62-year-old man is currently receiving treatment at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB) here.
"He is in a stable condition. He suffered head injuries," he told reporters after attending the rescuing boat handover ceremony at Senior Police Mess here today.
Also present was Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad.
Mior Faridalathrash said the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) would go to the scene today to conduct investigations and identify the cause of the incident.
"Yesterday, we cordoned off the area so it will be easier for CAAM officers to conduct their investigations there," he said.
It was reported that a flight instructor was killed and his chief flight instructor suffered injuries when the light aircraft they were in crashed in Jalan Raja Dr Nazrin Shah here.
Perak police chief Datuk Mior Faridaltahrash Wahid said the aircraft was handled by Fajim Juffa Mustafa Kamal, 52, who was killed in the crash.
